During a Vera Connector installation, if the appliance is unable to fetch RPMs or metadata about RPM repositories, complete these steps:
- Verify that the Connector has Internet connectivity.
- If Internet connectivity is confirmed, verify that the appliance is able to validate SSL certificates by running the following command:
You should see in the results that the SSL cert is verified by the correct party and the page responds appropriately. If it does not this could mean that there is a proxy fetching pages for the appliance and injecting it's on corporate certificate into the pages. To resolve this, a firewall / proxy rule should be created so that the Vera Connector has an unobstructed view of the internet.
